Happy Book Launch Day
I believe life is meant to be celebrated. Birthdays, holidays, weddings, life’s big moments, deserve cheers. After all, what’s the point of all the hard work, if there isn’t joy involved with the outcome? Yet, a month ago, when I first received the physical copy of my new book Shift Your Mind, I had a quick spike of dopamine that faded as quickly as it arrived. Honestly, it felt like every other book I have ever held and snuggled up on my bookshelf with them.
Since that time, I have received countless congratulations from strangers, lifelong friends and family, and people I am connected with on social media. This morning I received many "Happy Book Launch Day" messages. It’s felt amazing and awkward at the same. Amazing knowing how many people support my endeavors and awkward not knowing how to respond to their support. So, first I just want to respond with a resounding THANK YOU!
Over the past four years I have worked on the book at any empty time I could find, which was certainly difficult given what I had on my plate; being a new father, building and sustaining my business, attending social gatherings, traveling, exercising or leisure activities, all were prioritized alongside the endeavor. At times it was overwhelming. Daunting. Arduous. I wrote in cars, on vacation, on park benches, in my office, on my couch, closets, whenever I found some time, I found myself working on the book. Through it all the support I have received from those in my corner has been remarkable.
Recently one of those people told me--the book is not a culmination of those four years, instead it’s the amalgamation of all of the people I have come in contact with or studied throughout my life. And that’s why I feel compelled today to write this note. To share my thoughts with you. Today the book is officially live. If you go to Amazon you can purchase it and get it tomorrow (what a world).
Here’s to you, all of you, I can’t wait to hear how you are shifting your mind.
With Gratitude,
Brian Levenson
